In this tutorial we will go over how to sell your SMS routes on TelecomsXChange.

The concept in this tutorial describes using SMPP Protocol to sell your route and receive SMS traffic from TelecomsXChange platform and get paid.

What is SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) ?

Short Message Peer-to-Peer in the telecommunications industry is an open, industry standard protocol designed to provide a flexible data communication interface for the transfer of short message data between External Short Messaging Entities, Routing Entities and Message Centres.

Note: TelecomsXChange uses SMPP both smpp Version 5.0 and V.3.4 as well.

Prerequisites :

• TelecomsXChange Seller Account

SMSC Or SMPP capable gateway

• Static IP Address or domain

• Basic knowledge of SMPP Protocol

Selling your first SMS Route on the Exchange

You can configure SMPP access to the TelecomsXChange platform by using one of the following methods

Express configuration:

Login as a Seller

• Click on “Routes”

• click “Add New Route”

• Choose SMPP 

• Enter the IP address, Port and System_ID and Password that your SMSC requires to authenticate TelecomsXChange on its network.

• Upload your tariff & click update

Once you have successfully uploaded your rates, TelecomsXChange team will start testing your route and notify you if it passes or failed.

Your rates will go live on the market view and other buyers can view/utilize your route instantly

By default TelecomsXChange will set the timeout interval to 30 seconds unless you set other value.

Make sure you White/list the SMPP IPs smpp01.telecomsxchange.com, smpp02.telecomsxchange or (174.136.44.213, 174.136.44.11)

SMS Billing & Payouts

Once a buyer has purchased your SMS route they will be sent instructions of how to send messages through TelecomsXChange proxy to you, every message that is sent to you a CDR will be generated and the buyer balance will be deducted according to the rate set per country by the seller. At the same time the seller balance will be credited for the same amount.

User sends a message that costs 0.04 USD their prepaid balance will be deducted and your seller account will be credited for 0.04 USD.

Once the seller account has balance above 0.00 they can immediately request a payout in the following methods:

• Prepaid Visa Card (Instant)

• PayPal (instant)

• Bank Wire (ACH – 3Days)

• Bank Wire (Same Day) Requires balance above $50

• Bank Wire (Next Day) requires balance above $15.00

• Transfer to Buyer account (instant) requires balance above $5.00
